headphones no sound ???

Helllo everyone I'm new so be patient ....

I plugged in my headphones... Into sampler with 1/4 adaptor.connected audio in from computer to sampler via jack adaptor sound up both on CD and sampler....no sound when I play to monitor...what am I missing...a mixer??

I'm confused, what r u trying to do, sample an audio signal from ure cpu into the mpc, and u aren't hearing the sound when u monitor thru ure headphones? At any rate no u don't "need" a mixer to monitor sounds.

Yeah sorry...new to the mpc...thought before sampling... I would be able to hear sound?? I'm lost ...still trying
