If you had it working perfectly and the scsi zip drive was properly set to scsi id==5 and termination==on (check the setting to make sure). Also, I assume you do not load the os with floppy drive, perhaps it does not work anymore so you use the zip drive to boot the sampler.
3 things come to mind:
1. scsi zip drive is bad and no longer recognized.
2. bad scsi cable (25 pin male on both ends)
3. bad disk
There is one more possibility which you do not want and that is scsi port fuse is blown which means no matter what drive you connect to the external scsi port, it will never been seen by the sampler. This would require getting it serviced.
My advice is use a different scsi drive (if you have one) to verify scsi port is working. Also, use a different working scsi cable to see if you still get the same results (if you do, then nothing is wrong with original scsi cable), creat a new os disk using a new zip disk and get it formatted (FAT) and add the .exe and .sys files.
