I just finished installing an internal Zip Drive in my MPC 2KXL. Piece of cake
naw, really it was a pain in the a$$, but it's working.
A few things I would advise others wanting to do it.
1) Supplies needed:
-Phillip's head screwdriver
-Electric Tape
-wire connectors (optional)
-IDE cable w/ one connector
-Wire Cutters / Strippers
2) Make sure you know what type of drive you're looking at either SCSI or ATAPI
3) Make sure your jumper settings on your drive are set to Master (not A)
**this one is very important, I had mine set to master A and it would not read or format any of my Zip disc.
4) Be patient, I was pretty nervous myself.
for mor info on this go to http://www.mpc2000xl.com
Hope this is helpful to someone
Oh Yeah Big Ups to PHATZ, right on man!
