programs jumping... 2000XL

Peace.

Does anyone have any ideas why when I have sequence patterns playing different drum programs, the programs sometimes stay the same or switch to a random program that wasnt selected as I transition from say sequence 1 to sequence 5 even though I have them all set to play certain programs specifically?

FYI If my question doesn't make sense I will try taking pictures or making a video of what I mean.

Only thing I can think of is whether you're creating new programs via zone -> edit, in which case you have to manually create a new program based on drum holder. Otherwise doing so shifts your existing programs. Then set for each sequence.

Is this while just playing a sequence or is it while in SONG mode?

It happens while I'm just playing sequences. I haven't tried this using song mode yet.

This might be what you're looking at. DRUM holders are confusing at first:

DRUM1-4 is "global" to the MPC. That is, if you switch sequences, the same programs will be loaded into DRUM1 through DRUM4 until you call up new program changes. Remember this if you like to switch between different sequences.
