Help!! Mpc 2000xl won't start up after install CF reader

Hi to everyone,
I've just finish to install this Compact Flash card reader kit on my Mpc 2kxl! http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.vi ... 1557110945


I have install everything, link ide cable and power chord, i close it but when i try to turn on the Mpc he won't start!! it just freezes with all the lights on but the mainscreen is blank. PLEASE HELP!

make sure you don't have the data cable switched around the wrong way.

do you think I Made a mistake to connect it? I link it in in the same place where it was before connected the zip drive!

first of all.. you must update to OS 1.20 using your zip or floppy drive before installing the card reader... then make sure you have the ribbon cable on correctly and it isn't backwards.

Before dismounting I had already updated to 1.20.

and before dismounting... did you turn the mpc back on to see if it worked?

Before install the card reader i update the os to 1.20( before was 1.14). With os 1.20 and zip drive installed it works well.

Do you have any idea how can i fix this problem? Later i update a photo

disconnect the cf reader and try turning on the mpc without it... see if it still starts up.

The data cable from your card reader is plugged in backwards.
Try putting the red line on the ribbon (big cable) on the other side. I had this exact same issue and this is how I fixed it.
