"transposing" drums track notes

I recorded a track and then needed to change the drum program; I now want to change the drum pad to get the original sound again but keep the timing/velocity data (can't change the program, I'm using it for other things). This would be easy to do with the transpose function but that doesn't work for drum tracks . I know I can go through individually in step mode and change each event, but that's a pain in the ass and I feel like there must be a way to change all of the events at once. Anyone got advice? The manual says I can select multiple events on step mode but it looks like that's only if they happen at the same time.

I don't get it really You have a program with samples and then switched to another program with other samples but now you want to use a sample (with its settings) from the old program. Right?

If so, I would copy the drumpad from the old program to the new program. Sample and all settings will get copied. You can choose the pad also so you dont have to mess around with the events.

temporarily change the track from DRUM to MIDI.
do the transposition as many times as you need.
this will shift all your note numbers, not the 'pitch' of your samples.
