I'm brainstorming here. I picked up a IDE to CF adapter for cheap a while back (like literally 3 bucks on Amazon) because I thought I needed it to recover data from a CF card I used on a MPC 1000 (CF reader broke, busted pins). Anyway I'm wondering if it might be possible to open up the 2KXL and use this with some kind of SCSI to IDE bridge. I already have an IDE CF drive (non-hot swappable) limited to 1 GB on OS 1.2 which is fine, can easily take it out and pop it into a CF to USB adapter to save projects on a computer. But, having a second 1 GB inside the machine might be dope too. Have all my library samples saved in there and have all working projects saved on the removable CF drive. This seems unorthodox given all the back posts I've been reading but theoretically possible, given that I can somehow mount that inside the XL?
