Where to purchase...

i believe i may have blown the SCSI fuse on my mpc2000... i am tired of using floppies and ready to upgrade...i have read you can solder them back on...but, where you do find one? so far i have they are IC PROTECTOR N25 slow fuse.... i found one on ebay, says its a N25 Q...but doesn't say if its slow or fast...jsut shows that if you are having trouble with the screen on a mpc that this is the fuse that fixes it...what am i missing here?

Look for electronics suppliers in your area - PCB mount fuses are somewhat common and it's always nice to just go in and walk out with what you need. I'm pretty sure it's a 1 amp. fuse. There is an auto resetting one ("polyswitch") you can solder in instead (read about it here: http://akaiscsifaq.digidude.net/akaifaq_scsi_fuse.htm) and never have to deal with it again, although it's a modification so of course it's at your own risk. My 3000 has this mod done and it's never been an issue.

thanks for the reply....after trying some zip drives w/out termination (im a n00b), and SCSI mpc HD a friend had, i thought all was lost...as a last result, i borrowed a zip drive w/ termination from another friend last night... this morning i found out that it worked just fine... so, im either going to purchase a zip drive, or one of those CF card readers....
