MPC2000 and S2000 compatibility

I own an S2000 sampler with a lot of self-made sample floppy disks and I would like to buy an MPC2000. Will my floppy disks work inside the MPC2000 without any further formatting?

Yup should work perfectly, IIRC.

Ok that makes me pretty keen, but still I don't want to buy the thing then get lumped with having to convert all my samples if the floppys dont work.

That was my exact rig for about 5 years, and I'm 99% sure that I could take samples from the s2000, save to disk, put disk in MPC2k (Classic) and load. I don't remember doing it the other way around tho, saving on the MPC2k & loading into the S2k.

I'd test it for you, but I don't have any of my old S2k disks at the moment, they're all locked up in storage.
