MPC 2000 VOL & REC Pot Question...

Sup.. Been looking for a volume pot on the tinterwebs..

I was under the impression that the rec gan pot and the main volume pot were the same?

It's just this site has them listed seperately, with the MAIN VOLUME at 12 bucks (and sold out), and the REC GAIN at 10 bucks in stock..

You can use any knob you want! As long as it has the same shape inside to match the posts And cost you only a dollar.

No, they are different, although they are exchangeable, they have different resistance.
I remember this, because I have replaced the pots on MPC-2000 classic, and Service Manual for 2000 classic shows different part number for those pots.
However, the pot for volume can be used for input gain as well.
I remember that the pot was hard to find (you may be able to find the compatible pot, but the shaft has to be really long), I ended up ordering from the major MPC part provider.
