MPC 2000 programs sounds and sequences saved on MPC 2000XL

I went to friends studio and loaded my MPC 2000 disk on his XL. I programmed some songs and saved it. I got home and tried to load it on my 2000 but it says that I need a new OS. does anyone have a work around so I can get my songs back and use my disk my the 2000?

XL programs wont load in older MPCs so you'll need to convert them to either MPC2000 or MPC3000 format. MPCEditor works well for this

This is PC only, so if you are on a Mac you'll need to run a virtual windows box via Parallels or similar, or bootcamp. I'm not sure if MPCEditor still works on the latest versions of Windows though. On a Mac there's this which I believe has 2000/3000 export:
