dead pads, can that be fixed?

I have first three pads, bottom left, DEAD. Could hit them with a hammer and it wouldn't make a peep.
I think that the sensor pad thingie that seems to be either glued or attached to each of the metal squares, it seems to have some cracks in the sensor where it sodder's into the board just to the left of the pads. it seems to have been compromised by another circuit laying underneath that seems to have scratched and broken possibly a line or two that corresepond to those first three pads.
is there a way to replace that sensor pad thing?

The pad sensors can be replaced by purchasing new pad sensors.

£6 tube of conductive paint of amazon and some very sketchy looking blobs and all fixed.

WOW!!!
thats the exact spot i was on about... right where it bridges over to the sodering point, right where you put that L6 or whatever on it! thats exactly what i need to do.

So what is this £6 tube of conductive paint stuff you put on it there? I can get it at amazon you say?

Yeah, thats my repair alright. At your own risk!

The paint I used was more for kids to use rather than a proper PCB repair product. I got it because it was Friday afternoon and Amazon had it on Prime so arrived Saturday, and I didn't want to spend mad money on PCB repair kits for a part I am going to replace anyway.

So far, its held up well and aside from the odd double-trigger it works just fine.

Glad my adventure in MPC repair land might help you out.

I was thinking of using conductive paint and bits of wire to get the pads' ribbon cable directly 'soldered' on to the PCB.

Bit extreme?

Way too extreme. Couldnt you just reflow the solder connection?

I've already tried but the pins are bent / not making contact with the ribbon.
Besides, I've pulled it apart and it's totally **** now.
Was wondering if this might be a solution, 10$ for minimum 10pcs.
