Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

ive got an MPC2000 classic with the infamous lines on the screen, with a zip drive, both working (obviously the screen on the mp is shot) Looking to invest in a Roland MV8800, but need the funds... how much would the mp sell for roughly?

$125-150 but I can see you getting $175-200 if it has the 8 out installed. As I'm sure you're aware, a 2000 with a good screen normally sells around the $250-350 (provided it has the 8 outs).

If people have to pay another $200+ just to get the 2000 you're selling to be good, that'll dramatically affect the sale value.

You'd get more money selling the parts separately man.

Motherboard - $125 or $175 if you include a sticker of an mpc with it.
Control board - $80
Jog wheel $20
Buttons (provided they aren't broken) - $30
8 outs - $125 but weirdos from Europe prefer to pay $200-250+ for some reason.
Pad sensors/Metal plate $60-80
Case (depending on the condition $100
SPDIF (if yours has it) - $60

replace the old screen with a new MPC Stuff blue screen and sell it for a profit... or keep it when you see how dope the screen looks...

@Juke I don't see how telling him to spend upwards of $250 to sell his 2000 for $400-450 is going to make any sense.

Where did you get $250 from? Did you click on the link at all? The new screen is $169+ shipping.
Besides, $169 for new screen or $500+ for an MV8800... Just giving him some other options.
That's also why I mentioned that he may want to keep the 2K after fixing the screen.
