Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Hi, I know this question has probably been asked more times than ever, but I cannot seem to find an answer even after searching through. I have bought a 250 USB Zip Drive and have tried putting two zip disks into it, only to find that the disks have to be formatted. I tried formatting them of course and it failed to do so.

I thought of using a SCISI to USB but one of the questions answered on Amazon said that using it for a zip drive didn't work. Whether that's the computer zip drive or the one used for the MPC 2000XL, I don't know.

So, I'm out of ideas, how can I back up my data? Because zip drives and disks won't last forever. I'd like to back my data up from the zip disk to my PC. But the question is how can I achieve this?

Whilst it would be nice to use a card reader instead - I am not paying over $100 just to transport over files, let alone $200 which is way too overpriced. There must be a way to hook up my zip drive to a PC, surely?

The Stratos BakMonolith I will most likely be able to buy, (thanks distortedtekno!) but how I'll be able to hook it up to my MPC is another question.

You need the backmonolith and the powermonster. The backmonolith is only an adaptor. Buying both will be cheaper than buying them from mpc-stuff. You'll save $50.

If you dont wanna do that, then buy a SCSI adaptor for your PC, as long as you have an empty PCI slot for it. I'm using this one on my PC...
