What do i need to connect my turntable to a mpc 2000xl?

I just ordered a mpc 2000xl off ebay, before you say "read the manual", i haven't received the machine yet so i cannot. Now to my point i have a numark PT-01 USB turntable how would i go about sampling into my mpc 2000xl? I do not own a laptop so im planning on sampling directly into the mpc. Ive heard audio interfaces and mixers but i dont know the difference i would like to be sure of what i need before i go out and buy random pieces i dont need.

A quick look at the PT01 manual shows that the output is line level so doesn't need a preamp or dj mixer

Connection to the mpc will need RCA to quarter inch (TS) leads.
