Problem with assigning 8 outs and saving a program

So I had a program with some sounds and tunings and whatnot. I'd load it and then assign sounds/pads to the various 8 outs...well I got sick of having to route everything to the 8 outs after loading, so I saved the program again after I had assigned everything to the 8 outs thinking next time I loaded the program, it would load and assign my samples and that they'd all be routed to the 8 outs I had set them up on...well now when I load the same program, it doesn't load any samples at all or assign anything to the pads I had assigned sounds to.

Did I accidentally overwrite my program in some weird way, or does assigning everything to the 8 outputs and trying to save those settings in a program not work? I have all my files/samples in the same folder, so I know that's not a problem; it's not trying to pull files from a directory it doesn't have access to. I didn't even make any other adjustments to the program & files; the only thing I did is load it up like normal and then save again after I assigned everything to the 8 outs. That was the only change I made. Basically everything worked fine until I saved after assigning pads to the 8 outs.

I mean, it wasn't a big deal having to load the program and then assign everything to the 8 outs, I just figured I could save some time by saving the 8 output assignments after setting everything else up..
