Glitch in midi sound loop

**Not using Pro Tools, Fl Studio, etc. **
*Have a MPC2000
*Have a trinity rack sound mod
* I'm in.. Sequence mode/4 bar count/ Midi 1A 

For some reason when I am playing a tone(organ or strings ) from the trinity , going from the 4th bar to the 1st, I have a major glitch ( the loop). Sounds like the note stops to start back over on the first. Only happens with midi and not internal sounds. I am a junior level mpc operator (lol) so pretty familiar with the gear. This has had me stomped for a while and want to fix this problem. Thanks in advance!

if you want the note to sound longer, extend the length of your sequence by copy/pasting the bars 1-4 to timestamp 5, so now you got a loop that is 8 bars long but its the same 4 bars repeated.
now go into the track with the organ sound and go to the part of the sequence after bar 5 where the sound stops and starts again.
erase that note in the second loop.
now go back to the beginning, the same note, and double the duration via step edit.
what is happening is the note has to have a 'note off' message that tells it to stop playing. the mpc is probably not letting you input a note duration longer than the loop length because the same note would just keep overlapping everytime the sequence looped around and the sound was still playing, but the sequencer told it to play that note again. so it adds the note off.

you have to understand a little more about midi and the sequencer works to see why this is happening. things get a little weird when you talk about the sequence looping around, so you've just got to work within the limits of the system and likely extend the sequence.

another anomaly that happens sometimes is that the note off comes after the start of the note when the sequence loops around, so it in effect cuts the long note off real short. both of these problems are fixed by editing sequence length and note length.
