MFC 42 filter module

Anybody use the MFC filter for their MPC? What's up with it?

I've got it. I love it.
I've heard that there are better ones though.
I'm satisfied. I got mine brand new at about 2/3 of the real price or something like that.
I just got the 8 outs and that sh1t's really knocking now.
I was using it with just the main outs but now things are just sounding better.
I heard about the sherman filter bank and a few others being better though.
I couldnt say whether it's true because I've never used that.
I havent mastered everything in the mfc yet but I can tell you that I doubt I will ever sell or trade this thing.
Besides it matches my mpc 2000xl.

if only the mpc could resample. i'd invest more in outboard filter/fx.

I got it and shipped it back a week later, I still don't fully understand the MPC 2000xl, but I felt it was pointless.....I'd rather get some gear thats more useful

I think he meant about resampling while you are playing the thing.

I might look into it a lil further, only thing I can't find one around town to try out.

I felt kind of the same at first but that was mainly because I hadnt taken the time to learn much about it. After spending some time in practice , I still am no expert but I wouldnt give it up. I like what I am able to do with it regarding samples coming in and using it on my basslines , etc.

The MFC is a cool piece of kit...used mine with the 2K and now still use it with the 4K.

They are cheap (relatively) and can be used on any sound source..not just the stuff coming out of the MPC..

Triggering filter sweeps to the beat, mono and stereo functions, many filter options...midi programable...I've really never seen anything like it hardware-wise on the market
