MPC 2000xl previous Sequences disappear when I make a new on

I'm new to the Mpc 2kxl and can't get my head round why this keeps happening?!? When I go back to programme and put the samples back it will work for a bit then do the same thing again. I've just installed a CF drive and using a 32mb CF card. Could it be the size of the card??

Could it be, making new programs by default get placed in DRUM1? You'll have to manually assign
DRUM1-4 to each track. Your old program will pushed to DRUM2 upon creation of a new program. You would logically think new programs would default to DRUM2 but nope.
