midi to usb cable? are these useless? MPC2000xl

I purchased these cables on ebay , followed the midi directions on my MPC2000xl and I get nothing. Is this considered a usb interference? My Daw(garageband) do I need to change anything on there?

It doesn't look awesome, I've got to be honest. You'll probably need to install the drivers and change the midi settings in your daw. Good luck!

I bought the same no-name cable for $5 on ebay. They're very unreliable with latency issues, and the lack of shielding also causes noise issues. Go for the M-Audio Uno instead.
