Need help Slaving MPC To ProTools Using MTC

How do I go about slaving My MPC To Protools LE 6.4 Using MTC.

Click on the MIDI tab in PT> click on MIDI Beat Clock> check Enable MIDI Beat Clock for... > check the appropriate midi device> click OK> click on the Setups tab> Peripherals> Machine Control> check Enable and select the correct midi device> click OK

On the MPC press SHIFT/9(MIDI/SYNC)> select the input you have the midi cable from the midi device connected to(1 or 2)> switch Mode: to MIDI CLOCK> switch Receive MMC: to ON

Make sure to set the tempo in PT to the same tempo as the sequence in the MPC.

Hey cooocooo1! When you say "enable MIDI Beat Clock for". Do you mean the Digi 002 or the MPC 4000. I did go to MIDI/MIDI Beat Clock/ but wasnt sure to check the digi 002 port or the MPC. Also, under Setups/Midi Studio Setups It didnt give me an option to choose the MPC 4000 so I just chose the MPC 2000. I wonder if that is keeping me from syncing up my machines. I see when PT say "cueing machine" but the MPC never playes. I have tried everything. Ive adjusted the tempo and followed all the other instructions. Do you have any other advice?

Do yall like midi clock or midi time code better. I usually use midi time code. But then again I dont have protools either

what are u running, Pro Tools 7.0?

in the midi beat clock menu select whatever you have the MPC midi'd up to, if the 002 then select the 002. You can create a new instrument and name it whatever you want in the midi studio setups menu, just make sure to select the correct midi inputs and outputs

Your MPC sends Midi beat Clock so in PT make sure you enable beat dect.\

What is beat dectect used for? Do I need it for syncing? I am using Pro Tols 6.7. I finally got my MPC and PT to somewhat talk to each other. When I try Midi Time Code it wants to cut off the first part of the beat. MTC also only works if I have the track record buttons on and the transport record button on. If I have the transport record button disabled BOTH clocks run but you can only hear sound at the axact moment I please stop and you can only hear about 1 second of sound.
I tried Midi Beat Clock and it played the beginning part fast and then after a measure or two slowed down to the regular tempo.
So as of now I can still not record in sync. Fustrating! Anyone had these problems?
