Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

In short: this was a dumb idea and don't try it.

So I noticed that the standard Zip 100 power supply is 5 volts at 1amp. This is the same as high power USB (for iPads) so I thought I would be clever, steal the input cable from the original power supply and put a USB end on it so I can save an outlet on the already rammed 10-way extension.

All kinds of intermittent clunks, grinds and variable motor speeds from the drive, MPC crashes and program save issues. Switched it back and fine.

So just in case anyone googles this idea in the future, here is my warning!
