StarTech.com 3.5-Inch Drive Bay CF READER HELLP!!!!

i bought this card reader from amazon. but it dident come with the ribbon cable..only the power cable.. and the ribbon cable that was used for the floppy is different then what goes in the cf reader. what ribbon cable do i need? help!

You need a 40 pin IDE cable.

i guess it needs a special one then because i have two of them.. one with the missing pin and one without.. and the board had no missing pin the reader has a missing pin so ill have find one to fit. i used the no missing pin ide and the screen goes wacky

If you're using a 40 pin ide cable and the MPC acts up, it is likely because you have the cable plugged in upside down or the CF card you're using isn't the right one.
