WHAT OS I NEED IN MY MPC 2000XL FOR RUNNING A ZIP DRIVE?

I have two zip drive in a good shape, running good. IDE cable, jumper seted on MASTER, all is perfect. But still saying the famous frase "NOT **** READY".

Maybe the OS version have something wrong?

HELP!! THNKS!!!

OS doesn't matter. Bad drive, unseated ribbon, zip power, bad disk.
Check all of those.

Stop getting automatically offended when you see gold letters!

I have a 2kxl, went fom floppy to zip100 to zip250 and then atapi mcd. Did it all myself and was GLAD to leav zip behind. I was using 1.14c, 1.14, 1.20 and finally decided to stay with 1.14.

Every cf I've used was 512mb.
