Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I need to know the exact cable I need to connect a standard Iomega Zip drive (100mb) to my MPC2000XL

Please help, my minds running to the max trying to work out male, female, HD50, SCSI !!!! argghhh im losing it

Please help homies :(

You have got a SCSI zip drive haven't you ?!?!?!?!?!

Just look at the connections on the back of your machines & get a SCSI cable with those fittings. The standard MPC2000 uses the 25 pin to 25 pin SCSI cable that comes with zip drives but I think the 2000xl has a 50 pin socket. ......... you've got an xl so count the holes or pins.

There is a cable that works directly, but from previous posts here some people have got ones that also need a male/female adaptor.

However, if your zip drive isn't SCSI.....it isn't going to work.

it's a SCSI, i think it's a 50 pin connection, so ill either need to get an adaptor or a HD50 - 25 pin cable, that's what I've got from the research up to now, I'm off on the cable hunt today to try find out
