First you have to tell us what you hope to achieve by connecting them together.

Plug in the UM one mk2 USB and install the drivers.
Plug the MIDI IN of the UM one to the MIDI out of the MPC.
Plug the MIDI OUT of the UM to the MIDI IN of the MPC.

Now your MPC can talk to Logic with MIDI notes, volume, pitch bends, modulation, sustain, MMC messages and MTC clock etc.
