Mine saves on a 6 and 9 gig drives, but we really do not know in your case since you never provided the drive make and model to check against what we are using or against the compatibility list.
AGAIN THANX MPC 3000. IF YOU DON'T MIND ANSWERING ONE MORE QUESTION. I ALSO BOUGHT A USED CD ROM DRIVE . IT IS A NEC 3X MULTISPIN CD ROM. THE MPC IS RECOGNIZING IT A S A CD ROM BUT WHAT TYPE OF FILES CAN I READ OFF OF IT. IT ALSO SEEMS TO HAVE SOME SWITCHES WITH NUMBERS O 1 2 3 4 5 OVER THEM IN THE BACK. IS THIS HOW I TERMINATE IT IN THE SCSI CHAIN OR IS THERE ANOTHER WAY?
Akai have a history of not liking the NEC 3X MULTISPIN. I think I even had one at one time and threw it away once I figured out the MPC I had at the time could not use it.
I has been some uears since I owned an MPC2000, so you might want to search here for an answer to creating CD that it would read. I do know that the instructions for 'creating akai formatted cd' that can be found using a regular search engine does work with any MPC.
at present i have a castlewood orb drive 2.2 gb. priduct model orb2se00 and it worked fine with previous owner, the only reason why i havent used it is becuase the disks are hard to source here in the uk. but he used it with no problem at all.
My responses are limited
therefore you have to ask the right questions.
