just installed 100mb internal atapi zipdrive notice that the my 2000xl has a very long wait time when i turn it on?

does it load up eventually?

my zip drive broke, and i got another one recently. the new one takes longer to do everything . . . i have no theories really, at this point im like "hey it works"

it works it's just when i turn it on it says wait for about a minute or more once i get to the main screen it moves from save/load to main screen no problem is the wait time normal?

go to your load screen.

set startup to atapi instead of floppy.

your mpc is takign it's time looking for a floppy which isn't there.

my mpc is set on atapi and the jumper setting is on master it only has a long wait time when i turn it on or switch the disk.is that normal?

A long startup isn't normal. I also installed a 250 internal zip in my 2kxl. It starts loading before I blink twice.

Try putting the jumper on master w/no slave present and/or single drive.

I checked the jumper settings and tried the other ones I still have a long wait time I think its the drive i'm about to get 250mb, I'll see what happens when i get the other drive.
