Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I haven´t been so involved with this site so I don´t know if this issue has been dealt with before. It´s a pretty silly bug but it was a big problem for me before I found the answer:

PROBLEM: Sometimes when I use the 16 levels button to have one sound pitched over the pads my 2000XL won´t let me change the "original key pad" (default is 4).

THE SOLUTION: Press shift and the "Note variation button, AFTER". Assign the same sound to the "note variation" slider and then deactivate AFTER. Now 16 levels tuning work and the "original key pad" can be changed!

Good one. I run into that bug on a regular basis. Too bad you have to jump through all those hoops though.

If there was only a trick to keep the damn MPC from crashing.....*sigh*

Yeah, it usually crashes when I'm editing pad parameters and I tap the pads too much.
