HOW GOOD ARE THE FILTERS ON THE XL?

I HAD A CHANCE TO DEMO A XL TODAY AND WAS WONDERING IF THE FILTERS WERE ANY GOOD OR WOULD I BE BETTER OFF FILTERING W PRO TOOLS?

I've only used the XL and nothing else, but I'm willing to bet almost anything is better than the XL's filter.

It's a well known fact that xl filters pretty much suck. Better off using Protools. You can do a little bit of stuff with them don't get me wrong but it would turn out to be nothing very complex.

haha, hell yeah. Filter and Resonance is all ya get too, no low pass or nudda... shieert Akai coulda hooked us up with a bit more than that. Still, it is a sequencer, not an effects processor!

dookie knobs, dookie knobs!! I love it, but i've heard the electrix filter factory is comparable. But the mfc-42 is wicked, and it's rackmountable or you can rock it up top.

does the 2k got the smae filters or filter features as a 1k?

i think the 1k got like high and band pass ones too. i went out and got an alesis philter no midi but its cool. U can get them on ebay mad cheap too. like 30 to 50 bills.

Do 2002 vehicles and 2004 vehicles have the same specs. Nope.
I'm trying not to be a smart azz (I think I failed) but that is a

so how exactly do these modules work with the mpc? how does it hook up? You put the 8 outputs to it? the echo sends?

do you have to redo the filter settings each time, or is there a "snapshot" save feature? and do you save it on the mpc? or on the module itself?

The new Allen Heath filter looks pretty promising. Check the specs:
