Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

yall dont understand...

i just want to be sure that it is the cable that is causing the problem.

if i am 100% sure it is , then im of course gonna get a new one.

yer missing the point - use two very different sounds, one panned left, one panned right

then we can figure out if its the cable the output or what

oh ok i missed that

i realized that the sound that audacity receives is still mono, even though it was panned left

i will try it again with some different sounds

yea its really important - you'll then be able to tell exactly which channel isn't working and go from there.

you could even test it with just one cable too trying one output at a time into each input.

it sounds like you've got a lot of variables adding to what could be the problem - stick with it, you'll get it :mrgreen:
