How do you reduce Program/pad volume before recording?

Okay so I’ve recorded my drums at a nice volume, but they’re a fair bit louder than my main sample. I know I can lower the volume on the sequencer screen, but that only affects sequenced notes. How can I reduce the program volume so it plays at the correct volume in real time? Or alternatively can I change the volume of the program pads (either one by one or simultaneously?) prior to sequence recording? Thanks!
