Can't record samples in certain program

Hey all, my first post and I'm pretty new to the 2000xl. I created a program today with 10 samples in it. My MPC has the compact flash card in it. It has 1gb capacity. 10 samples, 1 is about a minute, the rest about 5 seconds long. If I load my program I can't record any more samples. If I don't load it I can sample whatever I want. Whats going on? Thank you.

sounds like you are filling up your ram.
ram is how much space in memory you can fill up with samples.
your card has 1gb capacity to store samples while the machine is off.

the card and ram are different. how much ram do you have? i'm guessing the stock 2mb
