external data wheel???

is it possible to control the data wheels functions externally with midi??

the reason i ask is, i have a copy of the vMPC2000XL from Izmar Verhage

I'd like to control the software with my Roland SP-606. and i do.. well just the pads so far.

I'm trying to write a script so that i can control the entire front panel of the vMPC2000XL emulator.

Problem is ....it's a real emulator. its a one to one copy of a 2000xl. sound and workflow. worts and all...

so i'm trying to see how much of that front panel could be controlled externally with midi.

i have a few of the functions mapped out to the external mode of my SP-606 with a midi-2-text script but this is not ideal.

have any of you guys controlled the front panel of your 2000 with midi?
