MPC2000XL sound

circuitry wise the MPC2XL is very close, almost identical*, to the MPC3000 but the high-freq on the MPC2XL is hyped, almost as if its ring-modding. I suspect the 'resonance' is always on even when the setting is zero.

The lows, are close to the MPC3000 but that unit as one additional IC* the oversampling chip which produces 'smoother' lows.

So the 'resonant' , brittle high-freq could be resolved by someone dissembling the code.

If only we the MPC2XL had a JJOS

never noticed that. didn't find it extremely identical to the 3000 really, but those comparisons are not really that ground breaking. IMO a whole lot of hype online more than anything. I find there is more to say comparing the 60 to the mpc live, or the 2000 classic to the remix 16 (s20) but all these things are small amounts of difference once a song is tracked out and mixed... workflow on the other hand is more of a difference.
