   OMG This is the prettiest 2000XL I have seen in my life!

Does this look better than the Live? I wish it had the modern features like explode and export, I would kick the Live to the curb for this. dammmmmmm! 8 outs, plus 2 stereo, I use to make entire tracks off this baby.

This one looks really slick. Don’t know how well XL projects translate over to the software, otherwise you can save the beat to SD, import it in the SW and explode/ export from there. I kind of do this with the 2500, import my 2500 beat into the SW when in plugin mode in Logic.

$1,500.00 for MPC 2000XL is too much for pretty make over. The only functional improvement is the card reader and they upgrade the Capacitors. The Added Ferrite AC & DC Line Filters is simple to do. Buy a 50 cent for Ferrite Cable Clip added to the AC cable.

They sell the sides: 275

Buy the skin wrap: 69

FAT PADS: 45

Good approach. Also the 2500 is still functionally improving because of JJOS. If he could implement, the ability to render stems, I'll buy a 2500 right now.

Wood adds class to instruments. I have a wood stand for my Live, but I wish there were something more permenant.

I like wood, when it's functional, enhance and/or is apart the sound. I.E. Acoustic drums, piano, guitar, etc. Speaking for myself, I like my drum machines with their original look, created by from the original designer. Also if you're a collector, original design is always worth more.

No, not in my opinion. I think the MPC Live looks far more cooler than the MPC2000XL. That said, aesthetic preferences are all personal.

Cool in your opinion. I love it.

I think I am the only person who crinches by the sight of wooden customizations. Saw two 3000’s up for sale today, clicked on the auction to check them out. Not that I am in the market for one, but just to drool over the pics of what in my opinion is the best looking MPC. Both had wooden side panels and arm rest :vomit: Clicked them away as if I clicked on kiddy porn by accident. This XL is the only instrument on which I think it looks nice.
