Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Hey, I need some help/guidance:

I followed the steps I read in other threads for how to use the Gotek and set up my usb/files (put MPC2000 boot file using floppy emulating software followed by the MPC2000 SYS file). My Gotek loaded the usb and successfully booted up the MPC2000 with 1.72. Then I turned it off. The next time I turned on my MPC with the boot usb in, it said disk read error. I tried several times but it continued to say that. So the I re-formatted the disk via Gotek again and put the os files back on it following the same process. Sure enough, I successfully booted up just like the first time. Then I turned off my MPC and tried to boot again — disk read error.

I’ve repeated this process several times, including formatting with the ipcas software and writing files on the disk that way. Every time the results were the same: boots up first time, then disk read error every time after I turn it back on. The mpc must be doing something the the disk/files...?

Any ideas for a solution or what the problem might be? Thanks for reading.

Ok first off, use this.
http://www.ketron.it/images/ketron/soft ... ketron.exe

Found on here
http://torlus.com/floppy/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3050

Install on the C: drive (not in the program folder. Just the C: drive root location)

Right click on "vFloppy_gui" (((Open
in administrator mode))) to format (I did 1000 partitions on my drive.)

Once that's done copy the the OS (minus the pdf) file on to disk "000" in "vFloppy explorer" mode. (((Open in administrator mode)))
Which is also located in the Virtual Floppy Software folder.

Note: you usb drive can't be lower than 8gb

See if that works
