???? HEY OGs !!! WHAT ARE THE BEST FLOPPY DISKS ???

SO i know its 2020 but i want to have that floppy disk experience . What brand / type of floppy disks do yall recommend ? Thanks in advance and Peace !!!!!!!!

Iv never had any luck with any of them but I'd aviod 'Verbatem'

Getting read / write error is a part of "floppy disk experience." Sony and 3M brands were the one that I preferred, but floppy disks are not reliable anyway. I'd recommend to make a duplicate; save twice, have two copies for each files.

I recommend you bypass this experience and just use floppy disk as coasters.

Can't remember issues based on brands but most of the time I tried to stay away from 'no name' stuff. Most floppys I got are BASF cause I bought a few sealed big packs (50 per pack) on ebay years ago. There are no stores here that still have disks but Staples so I also bought some of their brand (don't know who is the manufactor of them) no issues with these. Keep them at a save place (not too hot not too cold, no magnetic field, no dust, low humidity).

Agreed, I use Zip disks. Now I have lots of coasters

I never had a Zip Disk fail on me, only floppy disk.

when it did finally happen, you would have been **** losing 100 or 200 megs of stuff in one shot. With floppy disks, occasionally they would have errors, but on important beats you save it twice anyways (backing up is still a good idea today anyways)

Yeah, I was taught from the start to always track out the music and solo each instrument. So if anything happened, I could just resample it.
