ZIP vs FLOPPY vs CF vs USB what are the pros and cons? And which is superior?

Pro - works easily with computers
Con - you will likely need to pay to upgrade

IMO... Compact Flash > SCSI Magneto drive > JAZ 1GB/2GB > Zip750 > Floppy > Zip250 > Zip100... no USB on either 2000XL or 2000 models!

Thanks a lot, I plan on buying a 2000xl and I think CF is the route I’ll take

the gotek USB reader is king. Most importantly it's hotswappable. so you can take it out while you are using the mpc without fear of it freezing up. You can plug your usb into any computer and don't need a card reader. There was so much bullshit misinformation on it!

For a 2000XL, go for a SCSI2SD. It's hot swappable (if your really need to do this) and the firmware is always being updated so you can upgraded the card via a Mac/PC and USB cable.
