Getting around the Factory Cd

So If I take the 2kxl cd rom kit sounds and put that disk in my dell dimension's cd tray , and then copy it to the dell's Zip drive. I could then take that disk to my 100mb Zip Scsi External drive connected to the Mpc 2kxl and load it up with factory Kits?
