2000XL Repair in the Bay Area?

Hey all,
New to the forum and thought i'd reach out.

I recently picked up a 2000XL and it needs a bit of work to get it back into better shape. Anyone know of anywhere in the Bay Area that can do a few repairs? I tried looking back in the forum, but the only place I saw was a joint in the East Bay, but it looks like they have closed.

I also wouldn't be adverse to sending it a little further afield...

Or save some coin, do it yourself and become ONE with your 2000XL. What’s wrong with it exactly?

Thanks for the tip. I’ve seen his Instagram, will look into it.

The main issue is the slider, just doesn’t work. Also a few of the buttons need to be replaced.

Apart from the slider, it’s all usable and have been reacquainting myself with it

Sometimes opening up the MPC and spray compressed air or DeOxit fader lube to get the slider and buttons working again.
If you are good with soldering you can look for any broken solder joints on the circuit board and resolder them.
Or just order brand new parts from Mouser.com for dirt cheap and solder them in...

Nice! I think i'll get some of these parts and take it for a spin.
