atapi error

hello I am hoping that somebody on this forum could help me

resolve this Issue that i am having with my mpc 2000 xl

yesterday, I was trying to save my APS , and realize the Zipdrive

went off line, than I tried to load a file, no success
.
so i went ahead an turn off, turn it back on

but the Zipdrive was still not working,this time I was getting an error

message "Atapi error" so I turn off for 3 to 5 minute and turn back on

and the auto loader worked

but when I tried to load a different file from the ZIPdrive it went off line

again


I try the same process again turn off, turn on did nt work

try and wait 3 to 5 minute and it worked than try to save or load after

1 or 2 minute the drive went off line aigain

so i want to know what if anyone had a similar problem

I am not sure if its my zipdrive or the mpc.( I was using the mpc at least

3 hour before the problem started)

any help would be appreciate thank you

atapi?
internal correct?
Is there a loose connection/wire power/ribbon cable inside?

i doubt it but its always good to check. I use it today and didnt have no prblem with it
but ill check the wires and connection tommorow
