USING THE DIGITAL INPUTS ON THE MPC

DOES THE SAMPLE SOUND CLEANER WHEN A SAMPLE IS GOING THRU THE SPDIF?, CAN U SAMPLE THRU THE SPDIF OUTPUTS FROM A TURNTABLES WITH RCA INPUTS AND IF SO WOULD IT SOUND CLEANER THAN IT WOULD IF IT WAS SAMPLED IN THE REGULAR REC OUTS? AND LASTLY, IS IT STILL 16BIT SAMPLING BUT DITHERED TO 24 BIT ON THE PLAYBACK, THANK YOU

Although a signal sampled through the digital input should sound a bit cleaner I don't usually notice a difference. I think the MPC makes a pretty much 100% accurate sample whatever input you use. It is useful as a permanent connection to a computer soundcard, digital mixer or some other digital gear you regularly sample from.

Connecting analog RCA phono to digital RCA phono will get you absolutely nowhere!!!! It might even freeze the MPC as they don't like being switched to digital input if a digital signal isn't present. This is a bug in the 2000 which might have been sorted out on the 2000xl.
