Remixing??

Hey
im tryin to remix a queen song but when i put the drums to it especially when i hold note tap and a drum sound to make it repeat quickly its out of time is the way of putting it in time by stretching it ??

I would use ableton 4.04 to beat the track out then expeort the parts i need into the mpc with the proper tempo. remixing is a whole differnt ball game that cant be done on just the mpc alone. you can use timestrecth but that may take a while.. but explain in detail how you are trying to remix

are you trying to remix the whole track in the mpc?

I never said it wasint right, I just asked if thats what your doing.
timestretching in the mpc is kool if you want to tme stretch a 4 bar loop but a whole track? good luck. thats I have to say. I never time stretch on the mpc , only if i really really have to but software is really fast.

What I would do is neatly chop up the bits of the song you want to work with into four-bar or smaller sections, either on the MPC or with a computer editor. Drop those into Live so they are all given the same tempo & you can do a basic arrangement of them. Then get them back in the MPC.

If the free demo version of Ableton Live 4 has the same restriction as the free demo of Live 3, where you can use every function & feature but cannot save the results .......... don't forget you can sample your timestretched Live track with the MPC .......... it saves a lot of money!!!
