First post here and straight in with a problem that I hope you can help me with, or maybe confirm as a bug …
My 2000XL (OS 1.20) loses/deletes patterns. This isn’t with large amounts of sequence data: one sequence, 1 bar, a couple of tracks holding drum hits. It’s not completely random but I also can’t reliably replicate it. It has occurred twice now after I have named a sequence (for example, before saving it): navigate to 01-Sequence01, hit ‘open window’, hit a pad and enter name, F5 enter, F4 close, pattern gone). The other situation where patterns have disappeared more than once is on entering step edit mode (F1). Sometimes this is after playing track mutes.
Does this sound familiar to anyone?
I have identified one user error I have made: hitting ‘Undo Seq’ evidently deletes all data input since the sequencer started recording, regardless of the track one might be on. I got into the habit of progressing to the next track without stopping (record kick pattern, hit F6 ‘Tr +’, lay down snare etc.). But that’s not the problem I’m experiencing.
