Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Hi, I am new to this forum. I enjoy MPC too. The question is...

If samples are chopped up on Minidisc and fed into the MPC2000xl coaxial digital in, can the unit seperate them where the track breaks are? In other words, would 10 seconds of samples, divided into 30 tracks, have to be fed in and then chopped on the Edit screen, or could I just grab 1 or all of the tracks already spliced on the MiniDisc?

Cheers and thanks for the help. perennial

Not a chance! It will just treat it like one single stream of audio.

Yea, I figured as much. Any other methods you guys have for taking bulk samples into the sampler? The cumbersome way is dropping them into a computer through the digital optical, saving as wavs, putting on zip, then loading in.
