Buzzing sound...

ok...i got a pretty basic setup. I have mpc2000xl, triton 61 keys, all connected to a vestax mixer. But i am getting a buzzing sound for some reason. I think its coming from the keyboard but im not so sure. can someone help please?

A 60hz hum maybe, due to improper grounding somewhere.

It could be a bad cable, or even just a cable that is not fully inserted in a socket. Try disconnecting each cable one at a time, reconnecting them before you go on to the next one. You should be able to work out what is causing the problem this way.

If no single cable disconnection stops the buzz, disconnect everything from the mixer. If the buzz continues it is probably the mixer .... but disconnect the outs from that to your amp because it could be the amp.

But before doing all that check that all the electrical mains plugs are properly inserted.

thanks for the advice fellas. but im still having that buzzing sound. i tried disconnecting the wires and reconnecting them before i move on to the next one. i think its the cable that im using from the keyboard to the mixer. im gonna try getting a new cable.
