Is this zip drive okay for use with the MPC2000XL

I bought this zip drive and was wondering if it was okayto use with the mpc2000XL. i also brought the cord that connects the mpc to the zip drive. I was asking because I've seen a lot of people buying the ones that cost over $75, and I wanted to make sure I had to get a specific one for the MPC.

Yes it is the right zip drive...... but as you have an XL you are going to need a different cable or an adaptor. The cable that is in the picture here only works on the 2000 classic.
