I keep seeing this drive come up as the cheaper ( Not Cheap ) alternative to MPC Stuff and Big Noise Radio 's Hot swappable sd card reader.
Im looking for a SD card reader upgrade not a CF and hot swappable would be a bonus but not a requirement.
I just bought a SCSI2SD v5.2 with a bracket and faceplate and didn't realize it has a 50 pin connector. How does that connect to the MPC's 40 pin? It looks like its the same power cable though.
I read in another post about updating the firmware with a USB cable, how is that done?
Every bone in my body is against paying double for something I can do myself but my eyes are starting to bleed clawing through all the vague answers on how to do it.
