MPC Noob did something idiotic

So I recently purchased a 2000xl with cf card reader(addonics) and, in my completely stupidity, bent one of the pins in the card reader. I’ve already purchased a replacement card reader from mpc stuff. I’m just wondering if this replacement is straight forward and if there’s anything I need to do to my machine prior to the install(it’s already running os 1.2). Also if you guys could explain anything to me like I’m 4 years old(since I obviously can’t put a cf card In correctly) that would be greatly appreciated:

Also while you're in there, it might be worth trying to bend the pin back. Might be able to get some mileage out of it still... but yeah... once it's bent that piece will have some metal fatigue and will fail again...

once those pins are bent.... it is pretty much the end of it.

I've fixed a few with a slight bend, but yeah... 90 degree angle is gonzo

I figured once the pin bent, it was done. So that’s why I ordered the one from mpcstuff. Is it a straight forward swap out?
